Enhancing a stunning home

Svetlana and her husband were keen to replicate the existing pine and teak windows at their beautiful home in Blackheath. After assessing the different timber options, they decided on European Oak, which sits beautifully against the dark brick of the 1930s art deco inspired property.

All of the original windows were replaced, but the traditional art deco features, such as the arch casement windows and pencil astragal bars were retained. To the rear, doors were incorporated on the upper floor to help bring the outside in.

Svetlana was delighted with how the installation progressed. “Not only did the end result exceed our expectations,” she says, “but the way in which Duncan and his team conducted themselves illustrated great respect. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Timber Windows in the future.”
