Sarah lives in a period property south of the river in London. Deciding to replace her windows she chose Timber Windows UK to undertake the work. It was an aesthetically challenging project as all the new windows had to match the originals, retaining the original character and matching neighbouring houses. The flush casement windows had a combination of antique lead and glazing bars and the French door also featured stained glass.

We installed 16 flush casement windows and the French door set. We also had the chance to showcase our heritage skills when we replaced an original stained glass window and lead border in the windows by the French door. We also replicated the lead border featured in the windows adjacent to the French door. We used obscured glass around the border and then stained blue glass to replicate (rather than re-used) the original pattern.
