A perfect match for the neighbouring windows

A seemingly simple project to replace a single box sash window actually presented something of a challenge, as the new window had to exactly match its neighbours. Elly’s flat occupies the top floor of a historic 18th Century building, which had listed status.

A careful survey, as well as consultations with local planners ensured that the window did indeed replicate the original and blend seamlessly with the other windows in the building.

As you can see from the images, the features and profile exactly replicate the others, so it’s virtually impossible to identify the new window. These photos were actually taken a few years after installation, and the new window is still in excellent condition.

During the installation, our expert craftsmen also had to be very careful to not damage the smooth white render to the exterior of this special building in central London. Elly was delighted with the result and has recommended us to her friends and neighbours.
